Beatitudes

Jesus begins His sermon with a series of blessings, painting a picture of the upside-down nature of God's kingdom. These blessings challenge our worldly understanding of success and happiness.

Today, reflect on which of these qualities you find most challenging to embody.

• Are you poor in spirit, recognizing your need for God? 
• Do you hunger and thirst for righteousness? 
• Ask God to cultivate these kingdom qualities in your heart, and consider how you might live them out in your daily interactions.
