Ephesians 2:20

Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets.

And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.

We own 9.5 acres off North Broadway, debt free. A gift and blessing from our planting church. The acreage of our future home now has an address.

Dream of a church home at 4900 N. Broadway.

Imagine a place where God’s love is experienced and known — a place where everyone feels at home.

Let’s dream of a place where souls are saved and lives are transformed; a place where a community worships, prays, and roots for each other.

Heritage Church is that place. And 4900 N. Broadway is the dream.

The 4900 Campaign asks every member at Heritage to give above and beyond regular contribution so we can build our first church home.

Let’s make this dream a reality.

How will my pledge help?

Every dollar given in the 4900 Campaign will go towards phase one of our church building. Heritage families who pledge to give above and beyond their regular contribution will help keep building debt low.

How much will it cost to build our first church home?

The projected cost for phase one is around $3 million dollars.

Can I join the campaign anytime during the three years?

Yes! This is a big commitment. We want you to invest as it is appropriate for you and your family. Pledge cards may be obtained from Travis at any time.

Can we handle a pledge campaign while also supporting our regular budget?

We know this is an ambitious project — one that will be a stretch and sacrifice for everyone — but we believe our members can handle it.

Heritage continues to exceed its weekly budget. Because of that, we believe our members are able to continue giving towards regular contribution and give separately to the 4900 Campaign.

Through pledges and gifts of Heritage members, we will seek to pay for phase one of our church home.

We ask every member to participate for the next three years.

We are asking for every member of Heritage to take time to carefully consider their pledge through the end of the year. After a season of prayer and preparation, we ask for pledge cards to be turned in during the month of January 2020. Pledge cards may be dropped in the 4900 Campaign pledge box located in the cafeteria, in the contribution basket during worship, handed to Travis or any member of the steering committee, or mailed to the church office: 2524 N. Broadway, Suite 331, Edmond, OK, 73034.

Devotionals

Below you will find eight weeks of devotionals. Please spend time aligning your heart with God’s word before submitting a pledge.

Feel free to complete this study, or one of your choosing, as a family or by yourself.

  • God owns everything. When we view earth and our lives this way, our perspective and view of all things changes.

What are God’s expectations of us on His earth?

  • God knows our hearts are attached to our wallets.

What does it look like to invest in the Kingdom of God?

  • The truth is: the things money can buy can’t bring true joy or draw us closer to Christ.

What are the things in your life that mean the most? Take some time to write them out. Which things on the list did money buy? Which did God give you? Pray to align your heart with God’s.

  • Everything we have is given to us by God. Unless we recognize this truth, we will not be good managers of what has been entrusted to us.

What is stewardship and what does it look like for you and your family?

  • If nothing belongs to us, we are only to be stewards of what has been entrusted to us.

How can this principle of “we own nothing” affect our lives here on earth?

  • Take a dollar bill from your wallet and examine it. That piece of paper is a powerful instrument in the Lord’s hand when you give Him authority over it.

In what ways might you be generous with your wealth?

  • The Bible focuses on the issue of ownership because it is the foundation of generosity. God wants you to be generous.

Are you more or less willing to be generous with money that is “yours” vs. “God’s”?

  • When you believe God is looking out for you, your anxiety about money decreases.

What does seeking His kingdom and His righteousness look like for Heritage? How does investing financially in a church home prioritize our lives?

Father God,

Help Heritage Church walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have given us. Show us how to seek you and how to be a community who is kind towards others and faithful to you.

And Father, as we grow, we desperately want a home of our own. Please bless us financially as we work toward this goal. Please bless us with a church home, centered on your love. And please bless us with wise leaders and a strong community. Let Heritage Church be a place where your love is experienced and known — a place where every person is home.

We humbly ask for your guidance as we build our first church home. Thank you, Father.

Amen
