How to Connect at Heritage

Becoming a member of a church is a huge decision — one that we don’t want to be frustrating or complicated. We want to help each and every guest easily discern the next steps on the road to becoming a fully active member of our community- or any other church community.

Most importantly, you're invited to jump right into the life of the church. We believe you'll more fully know us and we'll know you better by connecting with us over time through shared experiences. We know connecting takes time and we know that connecting with people you may call your family is vital.

Simply join in and connect with others. It’s important to get to know a community and it’s people as you begin. Please know that we welcome every person, from every background, with every story. And please feel free to take a Heritage coffee cup when you join us on a Sunday morning. It’s full of helpful information.

  • second step

If you’ve begun connecting and are considering Heritage your possible church home, attend our First Cup class. This is an informal time hosted by our minister Travis Akins and his wife Laura. Come ready to learn about Heritage and bring any questions you may have. First Cup will be held monthly.

  • third step

Once you’ve connected, attended First Cup, and are ready to commit, please let our minister Travis Akins know about your desire to become a member. We look forward to having you as part of the community.
