Hello to our Guests

Welcome to the Heritage Church! We are thankful you are spending part of your Sunday with us whether it is in-person or online. Our goal as a church is to simply be good neighbors.

Thank you for your presence as we join together in this place and in heart to praise our Father. Our worship will include opportunities of praise, communion and a time in God's Word. Prepackaged all in one communion cups are available as you enter the school.

If there are questions or needs in regard to our church family, please don’t hesitate to contact our minister Travis Akins.

Our worship inside Heritage Elementary comes with some new policies and procedures during this pandemic. We are setting up an environment inside that is as safe and sanitary as possible. For our entire policies for gathering indoors, CLICK HERE. Here is a brief rundown:

  • Worship will be held in the school’s gym beginning at 9:30 a.m.
  • Our entire time inside will be contactless. Prepackaged communion will be available to pick up on your way in there, but there will be no passing of trays or baskets. Bringing your own communion is a great choice too.
  • Chairs and rows are set up to accommodate social distancing inside the gym.
  • Face coverings will be required the entire time inside the building for 1st graders through adults. This includes all of worship, even while seated.
  • There will be no nursery offered. All children should remain with parents and guardians while together. With the exception of Huddles.
  • We will have access to bathrooms!

  • worship pdf

You can follow along to this morning's worship with this PDF of songs and message.

Travis' message may also be followed through the YouVersion Bible app HERE

  • communion

During this time, we are not passing the bread and juice. We are offering prepackaged bread and juice packets that may be picked up on your way inside the gym. You are also welcome to bring your own bread and juice.

  • hkids message

During worship we take time to share God's word to our children. During this time, however, we will not have our children gather at the front. A children's focused song will be proceeded by someone sharing a message for children of all ages.

Welcome Book

The term "social distancing" is now part of our daily vernacular. And now it will be a part of our in-person worship. We know social distancing and face coverings will make church look and feel different, but we must learn and adapt and keep each other safe. It's the kind, neighborly choice.

Please do not shake hands. Do not hug. Do your best to stay six feet apart from people not in your family. This may feel weird in a church setting. But, these are practices that are mindful of others -- neighborly acts in an unusual time. As counter as it may seem in a church setting, we must practice them.

Face coverings are required by 1st graders and older the entire time inside. In all things and in all actions, let's love one another and be mindful of one another as we navigate these days.

Giving is an experience of grace and partnership with God. It is also a dynamic act of worship in which one expresses love for others and gratitude toward the Lord. The Bible teaches us that, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:7-8) We believe that God both blesses and empowers our generosity.

Dream of a church home at 4900 N. Broadway. Imagine a place where God’s love is experienced and known — a place where everyone feels at home.  Let’s dream of a place where souls are saved and lives are transformed; a place where a community worships, prays, and roots for each other.

Heritage Church is that place. And 4900 N. Broadway is the dream. The 4900 Campaign asks every member at Heritage to give above and beyond regular contribution so we can build our first church home. Let’s make this dream a reality.
