A Young Church

We are a young, growing church in Edmond, OK. We are a plant of the Memorial Road Church of Christ. Our permanent home will be off North Broadway, just south of Sorghum Mill Rd. next to the Twin Bridges neighborhood at 4900 North Broadway, Edmond 73034. We own these 9 ½ acres debt free.

As of January 14, 2018, we have been meeting weekly for Sunday worship and small groups. Our initial place of worship was in the Summit building at Memorial Road Church. As of September 9, 2018, we meet weekly at the Heritage Elementary School.

We are blessed to call Heritage Elementary School our first home. Principal Mrs. Bugg, her staff and the Edmond Public Schools are kind and generous with their beautiful facility. We are a grateful community.

Future Home

Our future home will be located at 4900 N. Broadway, just south of Sorghum Mill Rd. We own 9 1/2 acres next to the Twin Bridges neighborhood and next door to the Heritage Elementary School. On April 22, 2018, our planting church Memorial Road gave us the debt free deed to this land. We are blessed and excited from this tremendous blessing. Our prayer is that God will bless this area of North Edmond with a vibrant, faithful and loving community that continues a heritage of sharing God’s love.

Our Beliefs

We are united in our core beliefs and values, which identify who we are. We invite you to study and learn about God’s direction for our lives.

Jesus Christ is the one and only sacrifice for our sins and he arose from the dead

(1 Corinthians 15:1-8; John 3:16).

The Bible is the inspired Word of God – a lamp to our feet and a light to our path

(2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:10).

Every person has worth as a creation of God, but all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

(Romans 3:23).

Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord

(John 3:16).

Those willing to obey Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith and be baptized into him for forgiveness of sins

(Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38).

The church is the Body of Christ on earth, is empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to save the lost and edify the saved

(Ephesians 4:1-16).

Jesus Christ will one day return to take God’s children to be with him forever

(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Our Values

Living like christ

At all times we let Christ’s life of sacrifice, service and holiness guide our actions, thoughts and speech.

Phil. 2:3-11

Biblical teaching

We believe the timeless truth of God’s Word and the apostolic pattern provide essential guidance and instruction.

2 Tim. 3:16-17

Evangelism

We intentionally share the good news of Christ with our community and world, realizing His power to transform lives.

2 Cor. 5:20

Equip & Empower

We prepare all members for ministry, providing the spiritual training and resources necessary for fulfillment of their God-called purpose.

Unity

We want Heritage to be a place where harmony prevails because the Truth of God is honored.

Eph. 4:1-6

Loving family

We love and care for our church family as we seek to grow closer to God. Believing in His power to forgive any sin we accept each other unconditionally.

Eph. 4:32

Ministry excellence

We continually offer our best to God as we minister to people.

1 Peter 4:10-11

godly leadership

All leaders seek the Lord as their guide and strive to live a life that models His holiness to everyone.

1 Peter 5:1-4

How do I become a follower of Christ?

Romans 3:23

You believe that everyone is guilty of sin, including you.

Romans 10:9; Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:17,20

You confess that Jesus Christ is God’s only son, that He paid the penalty for your sin by His perfect life and death on the cross, and that He made it possible for you to have new life through his resurrection.

Acts 2:36-38; Romans 6

You are ready to give your life to Jesus Christ by: accepting His free forgiveness, repenting of past and present wrongs, being baptized by immersion into Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins.
