During this unique time, we are worshipping and gathering online. While we may be socially distant, we refuse to be spiritually distant. We have an online worship experience every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. on Facebook Live and simulcast here on our website. We are utilizing Zoom for Bible studies, devotionals, small groups and other gatherings.
9:30 a.m. at the Heritage Elementary School. We park and enter from the school's back parking lot. Look for the flags and guest parking signs.
10:45 a.m. immediately following our time of worship. Everyone is invited to grab a cup of coffee, a donut or some fruit with no agenda other than being together.
11 a.m. till 11:45 a.m. we have a Bible study going on for every person of every age. Children can be checked in at one of our iPad kiosk stations where a HKids volunteer can help find your child's class spot. We also have a 6th-12th grade class along with a young adults class for 20 somethings.
When you are a guest at Heritage, we want you to feel comfortable, so here is a snap shot of what you can expect when you honor us with a visit:
You'll find reserved parking for you just outside the entrance doors. Our greeters will be at the doors to help with any needs or immediate questions you might have. We worship in the school's cafeteria, please feel fee to sit anywhere.
You'll be offered a gift for being with us. It's a Heritage coffee cup and has additional information for you to take and look over later.
You'll find that our worship is ‘a cappella;’ that is, we sing without the use of musical instruments. We love the beauty and joy of worshiping God with our voices all together. We believe you will find the singing meaningful and uplifting, with everyone being invited to participate.
Communion will also be included in our worship. During this time, trays of unleavened bread (symbolizing the body of Jesus) and cups of grape juice (symbolizing the blood of Jesus) will be passed throughout the auditorium. You do not have to participate in this celebration of what Jesus did for us on the cross. You are welcome to just pass the trays to the next person or participate.
When you honor us with a visit you will hear spoken prayers and a lesson from God’s Word. We believe in the power of prayer and God’s Word, so these aspects will take up a considerable amount of our worship time. The lesson is normally 25-30 minutes long. We hope you find it refreshingly Bible-centered and applicable to your life.
Welcome Books will be passed down the aisle for members and guests to fill out a card. The guest card will provide us with contact information so that we can follow up with you and thank you for your visit. In addition, there will be a Prayer and Information brochure inside the Welcome Book. This card provides you an opportunity to request prayers and information about some of our ongoing ministries.
Baskets will also be passed to collect a weekly financial offering. As our guest, you are not expected to make a donation.
After our 9:30 a.m. worship we've set aside a few minutes to simply be together. We offer coffee, juice, milk, donuts and fruit during this time. It's a relaxed time to meet new friends and visit before our Bible classes.
